I'm Jerica, the founder and "Chief of Popperations" behind Fiesta Pop!
I'm a San Antonio, Texas native and graduated from UTSA with a degree in education. After teaching for a very short time, I had to admit, teaching was not for me. I knew I was happiest when being creative and I kept thinking "what if I start my own business and did something I love?" I just had to figure out "what" that business would be.
One night, while binge-watching a show with a bowl of popcorn, I had an epiphany. "Popcorn! What if I start a popcorn business?!" I had grown up making it on the stovetop with lots of butter, salt, and mixing in different toppings depending on my cravings. I had always seen popcorn as this perfect little blank canvas that could become almost any flavor.
I decided to start tinkering with recipes of savory and sweet popcorn flavors. My husband would be my eager taste-tester and give me feedback and honest reviews. And I would go back to work if the recipe needed some tweaking. For instance, it was about 18 recipe variations before I perfected my Caramel Sea Salt batch!
What would make my popcorn stand out from the rest, was I had a passion for quality and deliciousness. I set out to revolutionize popcorn. No more artificial flavors or funky colors here! Just wholesome, fresh ingredients and a whole lot of love poured into every batch.
From humble beginnings of late-night recipe tinkering, to the joyous moment I launched my business, every kernel tells a story of dedication and a love of delicious popcorn.
